First of all, I am not a homeschool mom, but if I had children, I would love too. I am pleased and impressed with the number of moms who are making the time to be healthy when their life is super busy. I noticed that as the homeschool moms saw each other comment that there was an immediate bond there. Thought they might want to find each other on their own thread. If you want to find “kindred spirits”, you can comment on each other and you can also “follow” each other.
Hi! I am Maria, and I’m a homeschooling mom as well. I have two kids in public school, and I homeschool my last. He is 8 and pretty quiet for the most part. Altho he will tell me often if I’m doing a move wrong! Working out with children at home can be quite challenging!! The 30 minute workouts are great for me, and the countdown clock is nice too. I can give my son a countdown, (“We will resume school in twenty minutes…”). I usually work out during our first “school break” in between language and math.
I definitely think that all moms are super busy nowadays, and it’s good that we are still trying to take care of our health and bodies! I’m excited to meet more homeschooling moms and community members. I haven’t looked much into this website until today and it’s very helpful and encouraging!
I’m a homeschooling mom. I love the freedom it brings. I did have to let go of the gym workouts because it can be challenging to make 9am classes, you know?
So, I have found amazing DVD’s and outdoor walking.
I’m starting Walk On Walk Strong today.
I spent three months doing some hot, Baptiste, Vinyasa style yoga, and in the end – it made my hips hurt so bad I had to stop. It also wiped me out. I’m 43 and I’ve learned to HONOR my body. PLUS – my arms weren’t even getting tighter, even though I was pretty strong! SO– I’m looking forward to WOWS being done in my own time, and with good results. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this post! I can’t tell you how timely it was. We were having an awful school week, I was recovering from an illness and hadn’t done any exercising all week. It was so encouraging to see a stranger recognize that this life is super busy (aren’t we all though? ) and that the effort to prioritize my own health is worthwhile and valuable. *cyber hug*
Hi! I’m Amber, wife to Spock (with a sense of humor), homeschooling mom to a 7-year old Loud Thing, and 2-year old Wild Thing.
