Keep up the great work everybody! 🙂
Phew! Just finished doing my morning yoga sculpt, which is a perfect start to the day. Now I am on my second round of WalkSTRONG with heavier weights too ;o) This time round my daughters and husband are joining me! Feeling FABULOUS and so much stronger.
I started TAE KWON DO for the first time last week (at 40 years young!) – and LOVE it! Wowzers, it was intense. I didn’t think I would make it past the warm up, but… thanks to the 6 week program which has strengthened my core, increased my endurance and boosted my energy levels – I rocked that session and I’m even going back for more ;o)
Yeay, loving life even more and so grateful for this amazing body that allows me to enjoy it so much. Keep on loving yourselves to great health. You are awesome!
Second time through Phase II. I’m into the 4th week and continue to love the workouts. Some background on me is that I’m 69 with a 40 year history of back problems. I have back pain all the time and in fact I had to stop my walking for exercise b/c of too much pain related to the muscles in my lower back going into spasm.
A few days ago I visited my pain management doctor and told him about these dvd’s and how I’ve been doing them almost 6 days a week since Jan. 1st. I was quite surprised when he told me that just looking at my xrays he expected me to have a lot more deficit (weakness, inability to stand, etc.) than what he is actually seeing. He told me to keep up with the exercise program because it is obviously helping me a great deal.
This is another example of what the body is capable of if we just keep going, trying, working.
I went back to Jessica’s library of workouts and selected her 30 minute Indoor Interval Walk/Jog. I kept at a jog throughout but I have to say, I sweated ( still sweating!) more during that workout than during Walk Strong. The music was old school, which is always fun. No fair having ” Evacuate the Dance Floor” as a cool down because I just had to dance! I still love Interval Mix but this was a nice change. Now for some more water….
Started Phase II today! This is the first time I’ve actually stayed committed to a workout program like this and I am thrilled! Did the HIIT workout and felt really good afterwards. I’m going to try and do both workouts each day, but we’ll see how it goes with five kids to homeschool…Thanks so much, Jessica, for making workouts I can be successful with!
Just wanted to check in and proudly announce that I went to the doctor yesterday and my A1C went down from 6.3 to 5.3!!! It’s like Jessica says there are far more important reasons to do this workout that looking good in a bikini 🙂 Keep walking strong everyone 🙂
