Let’s #WalkOnWalkStrong team! YOU GOT THIS <3
Couldn’t wait and started a week early (besides the fact that I needed to get as much done before the mid of July when my sister and her family are home for a visit :P). Did Day 1 – Have a Ball in the morning and I surely did have a ball! It was so much fun!! It’s so nice to hear Debbie’s voice…finally!! Your mom is so cute and such an inspiration as well. If she can do it at 60 then I sure have no excuse not to exercise at 41…HAHAHA! Love that Peanut is in this series as well. Funny Peanut always in the way 😛 Oh and I also did the PM Relaxing Flow from the Yoga Stretch DVD (finally got it last month :D). Figured I could always use a nice and easy stretch to end my day 🙂 Can’t wait to do Day 2 tomorrow! Thanks again, Jessica, and WOOHOO to everyone in the community. It’s good to be back!
Day 5 – Monday – Yesterday, walking much more easily and evenly than usual, probably due to all that leg-work in Saturday’s Total Body Focus from the Boost Metabolism DVD, so today, for variety, I did the upper half segment from the same DVD. Still plenty of leg-work, so good overall workout..
Only had to modify a few things, mainly arm-raises, on which I improvised with fingers on shoulders and raising my elbows ‘Funky Chicken’ style whilst pulsing with my squats – great fun. Did 30 mins, then skipped the floor-work by doing various sit-down ab things and stretches for about 10 mins. Enjoyed it all – and it’s still only 10.30 in the morning ! Thanks Jessica, for giving us such originality and variety.
I received the DVDS Friday and plan on starting tomorrow. My dad is starting radiation in a week so I want to get started ahead to help me stay focused throughout his 8 week treatments. I love how your Mom is in your workouts. I hope that my Mom will do some of the workouts with me. I think it would be something fun we could do together.
I got the 4 DVD set on Friday, did the Steady, Ready, Go! workout Saturday and one of the Yoga workouts today and really liked them. I’ll start the Summer of Strength of Strength Challenge tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it! I love these workouts!
Day 4 – Slow day, as Sundays often are. Energy levels low, no particular reason, just the way it is sometimes. Decided it best to just relax and go with the flow. Always aim to sit no longer than an hour at a time, at which point I get up and move around for about 10-15 minutes, sometimes longer.
No workouts today, but did heel, toe and leg raises occasionally whilst sitting, as well as pretend-walking on the spot when standing,.to keep my legs moving, sometimes adding in some side-and-forward stepping in time to the music on the radio, so got a bit dance-like occasionally. Nothing cardio today, nor did I work up a sweat, but I suppose it all added up to a fair bit of movement throughout the day.
