Weeks 3 – hmmmmm, it’s been very hard to stick to the recommended schedule this week. I am taking everyone’s lead and holding to the something is better than nothing & Each day Ive been doing 20 minutes of yoga before work. Yesterday after dinner I did the recommended 40 minute flat ab walk . Holy moly my thighs were screaming as I had a very strenuous workload yesterday. Today -Thursday – has been very stressful with tons of incompetence on the part of the facility my son is at. Today Juggling my sons drs appointments , work and fielding phone calls partaining to my sons future residental facility has taken its toll . I’m now off to do single sided strength and maybe some yoga then a nice soak in the tub.
Day 19 and I certainly didn’t feel like exercising this morning so I listened to my body and skipped my early morning workout and went straight to my desk after breakfast. Mid morning after quite a stressful couple of hours I felt differently. I wanted to move but I didn’t fancy anything on today’s menu. I did Flat Belly Fusion from YouTube. It was short at 20 minutes but is sneaky and I enjoyed it. I then went back to work for a few hours before suggesting a lunch time walk with my husband (and Indy our neighbours dog). They are away in Scotland and have a carer to look after her but they asked us to look out for her and take extra care as she isn’t well. She is a Sheltie and only 7 years old but has been diagnosed with cancer. She is lovely and I enjoyed our short walk very, very much. I went back to my desk and as dinner was cooking I did one of Jessica’s Walk and Talks to get energised and some extra steps.
This evening I did The Prehab Routine from WS1 as it was one of the recommended routines for today. Today I did something which is always better than nothing but it was right for me for today. It has been a good day but very busy and I am looking forward to a good night of sleep before another busy day tomorrow.
I have signed up for the early morning Powerwalk from M&S in Central to the Peak and back. Always brilliant cardio as it is an uphill fast walk. I haven’t done it for ages.
Just the suggested 20min Strength Routine after work tonight – loved it, it was a bit different. So funny when Peanut got into trouble and was sent to her bed, her face was so sorrowful!! Onto week 3 tomorrow.
Day 18 and I began my day with the recommended Total Body Abs Transformer from Cardio Abs. I had forgotten how good (and tough) this one is. I used 12lb weights changing down to my 10lbs for round 2 of one of the moves. I had amnesia about this and had forgotten it was a Cardio Strength workout with burpees etc. I do love it though. I followed this with the YouTube recommended Single Sided Strength using a 10lb or 12lb weight depending on the move. I do like this routine too as it is a good assessment of how far I have travelled since my 2kilo set were my heavies. I went for a walk with my friend around the coast. It was nice to catch up, walk and get our steps in. The rest of the day I have been tied to my desk but it has been a really good day.
The evening I did the 20 minute Core Stretch from Total Body Balance
I hope everyone is well😀
It’s that time of year when you need to run the furnace in the morning and your air conditioning in the afternoon and it is playing havoc on my joints 🙂 Going to be concentrating on strength and stretching as I know I will get plenty of cardio outside.
Jackie hope your husband is well, stress can really mess you up.
Jacy good luck with the new job I know you will do well.
mholdsworth hope all is well and you are doing well.
