Days 32-34 Thursday -Saturday . Thursday I had a very busy &hectic workday.Friday I was at the hospital (It is an hour away) with my son, He had 4 doctor appointments. It was a very long day.over 10 hours with driving. Sadly No routines both days. Saturday(today) morning I did cardio yoga before my 5k race. I almost talked myself out of it because of the two days not training or stretching. I was very tried and worried I would injure myself. I’m so happy I did the race. The start line was at a cozy marina. It was a beautiful start . Unfortunately the race course itself wasn’t what I had hoped no trail ,all hard paved roads.I still had my “me” time and it was just what I needed. No injures and it energized me ,I then went to work after going home for a quick lunch. Also I set a personal record today for a 5k finish time .My pace time was better than ever & I placed 3rd out of my age group of 18 women. I never stick around to see if I place . I only race against myself for myself . later in the day by email I found out that I placed in that race and I that I placed 1st in my age group in the 10k from last weekend.It was nice and made me feel strong . Day 10 and I swapped 360 Abs with the Kickboxing Cardio and Strength Circuit from YouTube which is just a great whole body workout and Kickboxing really does work those abs. I partnered this with the recommended optional routine 15 Minute Abs which is super short but effective. My goodness I felt those hollow holds today. Beth is amazing….
Today the trainee I am working with this morning won’t be ready until this evening and my afternoon slot is booked for 4.00pm so I have the day and this is an opportunity not to be wasted. So rather than sit at home reading or (doing housework) I signed up for a morning hike. There is luckily space on one which is on the Island where I used to live and finishes in a place that has an hourly ferry here so I won’t be stranded for a few hours as I was yesterday. It all worked out fine yesterday as it always does.
I didn’t do any yoga or stretching yesterday I had planned to to the suggested routine Total Body (Flow 4). That is now on the plan for today. I will check in when I do it as I am accountable to you lovely ladies.
