Day 8 of round 2 of Phase 2 and Day 36 on the Countdown Plan. I did both recommended workouts starting with Cardio Interval Sculpt and followed it with 15 Minute Total Body. That was a workout and I am a sweaty mess.
Day 34 and Day 35💪. Saturday was tough a 26 km route with 1,700 metres of ascent (more than the U.K.’s tallest mountain Ben Nevis). It was a new race called the Gurkha Trailblazer. The Gurkhas are Nepalese solders who did so much for HK during the British time here. The route was a mountainous one through the area where their camp was situated in the NE New Territory. When I was struggling I thought of those soldiers in full uniform running up those hills. I started 10 minutes after the runners and followed them at a fast walking pace taking down the ribbons and signs. Towards the middle of the trail once the 13km and 26 km trail run split I could see some stragglers on the 26km having difficulty but I kept behind them as is my role with some motivational words and encouragement. Once I had passed marshals and checkpoints they could pack up. I finished within 6 hours and completed my job exhilarated but tired. Welcomed at the finish by our Nepalese organiser with a delicious curry and rice and with a small glass of champagne from the two stragglers’ families who needed encouragement to finish. I got a finishers medal because I did the trail. Isn’t that kind😀. My husband is so proud he wants me to display my medal. I got home at 8.00pm and was in bed by 8.30.
Today is a day of rest. I will do the Prehab and Deep Stretch and NOTHING else. I don’t ache, I am not sore I just need to rest and maybe have a lovely lunch out with my husband.
Saturday day 6 WS3 phase II round 2- due to the snow earlier this week I had a 2 house day today . Decided on no am routine. After dinner I did Boggie IT . I love that one Beth’s smile is infections everyone is so motivating. The circle shuffles at the end make me giggle every time. I hoping to get in total body and metabolic training tomorrow.
Jackie your job at the hike sounds like fun. I’ve thought about volunteering at a local marathon being a sweeper . They let you ride a bike . Enjoy your time outside. Wishing you great weather. Mauree so glad to have you back on the yellow brick road with us . I don’t think it matters much where you check in at but I do think you were wise to check with Jessica.
I think my last check in was Tuesday.I haven’t been able to stay on track of round 2 of phase II. My flare is lasting way longer than I had hoped. I think I’m a bit anemic again which isn’t helping the situation. Also we got 2 inches of snow and the kids aren’t in school.
Wendsday I did you tube dynamic stretch before work . After work I tried really hard to walk with Lana while it was snowing. We lasted 15 minutes. The wind made it very difficult to see blowing snow into my face. Wendsday and Thursday were very labor intensive work days. I did nothing extra on Thursday . Work has worn me out. Today / Friday day 5 of phase WS II- I’m getting ready to do tone and flow. Due to no school today. I have a half day of work today. ( so maybe the snow isn’t such a bad thing ) I get to go in after lunch. Depending on how I feel I may do total body . Hoping to fit in the rest of the missed routines over the weekend . Hope everyone has a great weekend .
