Day 11 and I planned just to squeeze in the recommended 20 min Barefoot Fusion Sculpt around 9pm. I just couldn’t face it, I was so tired after work. Sometimes I think to force a workout when you’re really tired is pointless as you just end up not keeping good form. So, decided to combine Day 11 & 12 today. Glad I did as that Barefoot Sculpt was more challenging than I was expecting! Coupled it with the recommended Interval Mix from Walkstrong 1 (couldn’t miss it as this is my favourite workout from Walkstrong 1!!) Tonight I’ve done the bonus Short and Sweet stretch. Glad it was short and sweet! Oh that low frog squat at the end did not look good on me!
Day 12 and I have taken today as my active rest day for this week. I had a little time before I left the house this morning so did the Bonus Add On For Day 14: 12 minute under the weather routine. It was a nice short routine just to get moving and it was a good warm up for this fast hike today too.
The hike was wonderful. A small group of mostly trail runners doing a recce for the Translantau Race. I didn’t run as the trail (section) we did today is slippery and still damaged from the typhoon in October. There still needs to be some trail cleanup if there is going to be a major race I think. It was beautiful though and I always love it. I might lead a few hikes on this section once I get back from the U.K. as the more people who walk a trail the more established it will be again.
I got home and after a long shower ( it has been hot today) I did the second recommendation for Day 14 which 30 minute Yoga For Back Pain Prevention from the Gentle Yoga For Back Pain and Prevention download. I had forgotten how much I like this routine and it has really helped stretch my muscles both from two lots of sneaky strength training yesterday and from the hiking today. I feel wonderful. I know I should put an hour in at my desktop before dinner but I actually think I might sit in the garden for a short while and just deal with emails this afternoon. There is tomorrow for the other stuff. I also posted a couple of hikes for next week as there isn’t much on the calendar and it has been a while since I hosted a hike. Fingers crossed there is interest!
Days 10 and 11: yesterday I wasn’t able to do anything and my step count was very low too. Today is a new day and I decided to combine the days 10 and 11 routines so that I can take tomorrow as an active rest day as I plan to hike again with the group.
I started early with the Day 10 recommended Barefoot Fusion Sculpt from YouTube and as I don’t yet have 47 minute Fusion Strength I did Tone and Flow from WS3 and it was great to rediscover that wonderfully sneaky routine and gave hugs to you all. During my mid morning break I did the Day 11 Interval Cardio and Core. My goodness we’re those leaping lizards tough from a full plank but I managed both intervals. At my lunch break I did HiiT for Beginners Walking Interval Routine from last week as I didn’t get to do it then as I was hiking. During my afternoon break I did the 15 minute Short and Sweet Stretch.
I am going to put another hour in at my desk and then relax for the rest of the day. I got my step count (12,000+) and over 50 floors as I needed to head to the supermarket earlier on in the day and took the longest route with the most gradient to climb. Looking forward to a rest from my computer tomorrow whilst hitting the hills again.
I hope everyone is well. Getting a little worried as my brother has just texted my from the U.K. that he is going to phone me. I am due to visit mum in less than two weeks. When I spoke to her on Sunday she seemed really good. D is back now though and very frail.
Day 9 and I traded a hike with friends today for Steady State Cardio etc. It has been a misty and polluted day today however, the hiking was good although humid. It wasn’t overly challenging but when I looked at my stats I was pleased to have done just under 34,500 steps and a total of 360 floors. It is a great start to my week. I did the bonus stretching routine which was 25 minute Total Body Stretch when I got home. It was just what my body needed. I am glad I did it.
Tomorrow will be a long working day, although from home. I am looking forward to working around the Day 10 Strength workouts and if I have the energy perhaps one of the HiiT routines from Day 11. Let’s see! My inbox is already stacking up however, I think I might do an hour tonight and then leave the rest for tomorrow as planned. My cat is much better now. The vet has given her a magic potion. She is sitting on my lap helping me write this. During the stretching routine I had to be careful not to kick her during the leg swings. She loves helping and doing yoga with me.
I hope everyone is well! 😀😀😀
