Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is having a good week! Yesterday’s scheduled workout was Metabolic Conditioning. Even though I was sore from Monday’s workout, I decided to try upping my heavy weights to 15#, so I ended up using a combination of 15# and 10# weights as my heavies and 4# for my lights. It was challenging, but I actually think I could have raised my lower weights to 5# and been alright–especially for the bicep curls. During the part where she has us doing squat swings with the heavy weights (the move that’s like using a kettleball), I switched to 10# weights because I could envision myself losing grip on the 15# weight and sending it flying into the TV. That would be bad :). So, this morning, I was even more sore in more places than I was yesterday! I did complete the scheduled workout, though–360 abs–and I even raised my weight level from 4# to 5#. It felt good–never too much to handle. Y’all have a great day!
Days 44&45/Wendsday &Thursday yesterday was a busy , 3 house day with a little drama in the middle. My son was having a very bad day & being difficult for my parents so I had to leave work to take him to his work. Oh and my car is still acting up !The combo of stress, heat and tiredness brought on a wicked migraine. So I took a active rest day. Today/ Thursday- no work today -my son had a drs appt to evaluate him for disability services. Before we left I did you tube yoga for belly, buns & tighs. It’s been a while since Ive done that one. It was a nice way to warmup my body after by hard day yesterday. After the drs appt & dropping my son at work (he is doing a unpaid intern) I did a 4 mile temp/ interval run on the trail. It was pure heaven . I haven’t been in the trail in about a month , I think it may be over a month. I have missed it. After my blissful run my car battery died!!yikes ! I think it time for a new one. I hoping to do tone and flow later tonight . I will have no car tomorrow so we may walk to the beach we like frequent . We’ve never walked to it . That will definitely give me of steps.

Jackie as always the UK sounds great. Is the aunt you mentioned the one that was having trouble with her eyes? How is she? Are your mom and D getting things situated for their new chapter?
Hope everyone is well and I hope someday to be back at it. My knees were starting to do a little better and then I had the Bruno Mars song Uptown Funk going though my head so I was dancing around being silly and messed them up again. I did ask a healthcare professional about the pain in my foot and she thinks it is probably arthritis and/or some late stage nephropathy from my chemo, think the and is arthritis or tendonitis……..the joys of getting older after having been so clumsy when I was young LOL 😀

Day 53 and I have my mojo is back. I started my day with Upper Body partnered with Total Body Training. I used 4kilos for both my heavy and light sets. I am amazed at my progress. Last summer I struggled using 4kilos as my heavy set but now I am using them as a light set (although I sometimes struggle on some of those final reps). Enjoy your day everyone. 💪
Day 44/Tuesday- No am routine before my half day of work. Since I was leaving to go on my zip line adventure after work I prepared items for dinner for my husband to reheat later at dinner time . I did this with my sons help .I love being in the kitchen with him. Time got away from me and I only had time to do 20 minutes of cardio step jam before having to leave. The drive to our ziplining adventure was a long one it took 2 hrs, traffic was a bit of a nightmare . Thankfully we planned on that so we were right on time for our reservation. We had a blast! It was a super hero / glo themed event. The 4 of us dressed up. We did lots of traversing different wooden obstacles ,some rope swinging & ziplining. I was a bit disappointed that all of the harder ziplining trails ( they were the reason I wanted to go to this facility) were closed due to threat of weather and after our first trail climb the all medium trails closed . We did 2 easier trails before they had to suspend climbing due to apporching storms. This is a top notch facility and they did a terrific job keeping there eyes and ears on all guests .We only had enough time to do one more climb and were happy with our experience so we left and went to dinner . We all worked up a appetite and ate some yummy hamburgers at a fancy hamburger restaurant. It was a fantastic evening. It was wonderful catching up and spending time with my freind and our daughters . My daughter is such a thoughtful young lady to have planned this for me. Even though it’s now past midnight I’m going to take 15 minutes to do some yoga as ,my arms are already talking to me from tonight’s tree top adventure.
