Days 28-30-Sunday I did cardio yoga before going to ourstates state fair. My family had a wonderful time (Me not so much, it was too crowded for me ). My oldest daughter met us there and my youngest daughter surprised me and asked to ride the gigantic Farris wheel.I was super impressed how well she did with all the sensory stimulation. Monday I did fusion flo before work . I took a half day as my daughter had her new neurologist appointment. We were super impressed. He really has gotten this moving in a positive direction on helping our daughter with her sezuire disorder and the issues that go along with it. Tuesday -my rest day . I’ve had a major thyroid attack / relapse. Thankfully today was my day off and I tried to take it easy. I didn’t get any naps in but rested a little. The evening got tense as my son asked to be taken out of the house for treatment he was/is suicideal. So I took him to the hospital (which is an hour away) where he was treated for his auto accident and TBI. So it’s now 1am Wendsday and he and I are waiting to be seen by the psych team. I’m thankful he asked for help. Please pray that the drs here will help him & direct us on how to help him heal From this massive depression.
Wednesday and I am working from home. It is my last working day….. I did the Indoor Jogging workout as my mid morning break. I always love that one as I get into the zone and don’t need to think. It also packs in steps and is a terrific cardio workout. Interesting that I have taken my first medication to prevent altitude sickness this morning. No side effects yet . I read that it really helps develop oxygen lung capacity so no wonder I loved Indoor Jogging and jogged it all but I think it is too early yet for the medication to have any effect. We take it for two days before we fly and we have some acclimatisation hikes and activities over the weekend to help us get used to the altitude. I am so excited. We fly on Friday.
I have lots of work to do before I finish today but I am still going out for a walk this afternoon and I am going to fit in a stretching routine of some kind when I get back as I need to stretch after yesterday’s Cardio HiiT. I don’t feel my arms, leg muscles but I do feel my abs. Nothing major but they are saying hello!
I hope you are well Maureen, mholdsworth and Jacy.
Tuesday and I started work early this morning and took a 30 minute break to meditate. It was a wonderful positive affirmation relaxation and was just what my mind needed. I did this instead of an early morning workout. I am taking my mid morning break and just did the 30 minute HiiT from YouTube. It is an excellent strength HiiT routine and was challenging but really enjoyable. The sun is shinning and it is a beautiful day so my plan is to have a cup of tea and then go for a walk in the sunshine. There is a really lovely undulating coastal path that I love on the other side of the island so I think I will do that before I settle back into this afternoon’s tasks. I am going to take Jacy’s lead and do the Barefoot Fusion Walk this evening
Over the weekend I managed to cycle through Sole Sculpt, Tabata, Barefoot Fusion Walk, Dance Party and Barefoot Sunset Walk in between all those nice Christmas parties. I’m so glad the Barefoot Sunset Walk is part of the 5 wk plan. I’ve been using it all year and it is my favourite Jessica walk. I’ve found whenever I’m feeling down, anxious or stressed from work – that walk and it’s music really helps me feel so much better. I hope Jessica never removes it from Youtube. This morning I’ve done Bikini Body Circuit and now I will go for a quick walk before work. You are so lucky Jackie Mc to work from home – mixing in workouts and walks throughout your day. I drive 20 miles to work and could really do without driving – it’s not my favourite thing!
Yesterday was Sunday but I didn’t get to fit in a workout I was tied to my desk for most of the day. I did get out for a short walk to the supermarket with my husband and we went out in the evening to see a live link up with the National Theatre to see The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Nighttime. It was an excellent production. I read the book a few years ago.
I did get over 12,300 steps and the equivalent of 57 floors which isn’t too bad I guess. Not as amazing as mholdsworth though. That is terrific 😀😀😀. and when I got home I decided to do a 30 minute relaxing meditation rather than do an exercise routine. I was so tired I fell asleep during it. Ho hum!
Today (Monday) I am working from home as well but I am much more organised (and husband is at work) so I started my day with the new 30 minute Travel Strength and Cardio routine. It is still early and I put a few hours into my work and then did a workout. My plan is to get a short walk in outside before going back to my desk.
mholdsworth I too like your choice of workouts. I might consider Awsome Abs and Arms for my lunch time workout.
