Days 28-30-Sunday I did cardio yoga before going to ourstates state fair. My family had a wonderful time (Me not so much, it was too crowded for me ). My oldest daughter met us there and my youngest daughter surprised me and asked to ride the gigantic Farris wheel.I was super impressed how well she did with all the sensory stimulation. Monday I did fusion flo before work . I took a half day as my daughter had her new neurologist appointment. We were super impressed. He really has gotten this moving in a positive direction on helping our daughter with her sezuire disorder and the issues that go along with it. Tuesday -my rest day . I’ve had a major thyroid attack / relapse. Thankfully today was my day off and I tried to take it easy. I didn’t get any naps in but rested a little. The evening got tense as my son asked to be taken out of the house for treatment he was/is suicideal. So I took him to the hospital (which is an hour away) where he was treated for his auto accident and TBI. So it’s now 1am Wendsday and he and I are waiting to be seen by the psych team. I’m thankful he asked for help. Please pray that the drs here will help him & direct us on how to help him heal From this massive depression.
Saturday through Monday- Saturday- the 10k was fun. My mom did the 5k and placed 2nd for her age group!! We were both so proud !! It’s the first time she’s gotten an award. I didn’t do my best and I wasn’t feeling my best . I was about 3 minutes behind my normal 10k time. It was nice to get out on a trail I won’t run by myself. I hit a good giggle when I went to check my time online . My last name was not even close to my last name not did it even begin with the same letter . I knew it was me because everything else was correct bib number, age and city . That’s the first time ever that’s happened . After the race I just ran some errands and took it easy. Sunday- day 35 I did Jessica’s cardio yoga before work . After work our power went out again!!!! I freshened up the best I could and enjoyed a birthday dinner for my mother at a local restaurant. I couldn’t get any wifi or downloads due to the power outage and a cell tower went down again no pm routine. Monday /Day 36- before work I did Jessica’s yoga sculpt. What I thought was going to be a half day of work turned into very long full day. I’m at 23,100 steps and do not the the energy for Boggie I.T. I may do the add on abs before bed.
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week.
Just a quick check in this morning. I have really missed you ladies this week but I think my big craziness is over. Colonoscopy went fine but I was really wiped out from it yesterday, I think I am still pretty dehydrated because I have been so busy with my cat. My cat is still hanging in there but still very yellow and won’t eat on his own so I am feeding him as often as I can and this weekend will be giving him IV fluids.
mholdsworth, thought about you and your family when I realized where Michael was going glad you are all ok. How wonderful your son gets to have the eye surgery, that has to be really trying for him on top of dealing with everything else.
Jackie the hard hike sounds like load of fun. We are having perfect weather for that type of hike, we went from about 20 degrees above normal (high 80’s) to about 20 degrees below (50’s). Hope you get to rest this weekend.
I haven’t gotten to check out Jessica’s new walk n talk but it is in the plan for the weekend.
Good luck on the run mholdsworth 🙂
Everyone have a great weekend 😀
I didn’t post thrusday / I did barefoot cardio core before work . I had another physically challenging workday. Again wearing me out and earning me over 22,000 steps. On Thursday night and the wee hours of Friday morning tropical storm Michael hit our areas hard with tornadic activity. This caused widespread power outages.we had no cell service or power for 19 hours . We were blessed some folks intown still do not have power and have trees in and on thier homes . My family is safe and we have no property damage. Sadly at least 2 people in our town died Thursday night due to the storm . Friday- we were all a bit discombobulated with no electricity however we managed just fine . I took my son to his eye appointment at the hospital that’s an hour away. Drs have agreed to operate on his eye. Yea!!hes has nerve damage from the accident that has left him with terrible double vision. They thought it would resolve itself but after 8 months it has not . We are hoping fixing this issues will help some of his depression. I trying hard to help with the other issues. My son is doing better . He’s coming around me slowly Still aphathic juat not as severe . I did no routine yesterday.
Saturday – it’s early am and I’m up and at um for my pre race regime of coffee a warm up routine and then breakfast. My mom and are are doing our charity run .she does 5k and I do 10k. It’s a great trail run we do together every year for breast cancer. I’ll check back in later . Hope everyone is well.
Day 42 (yesterday) and a very stressful working day. Made better by Jessica’s new Walk and Talk which I did during the early part of the morning after I had put in a few hours at my desk. Mid morning I did the recommended one Mile of Motivation and at lunch time the also recommended 15 Minute Total Body. I did get out for a walk mid afternoon and I finished working at 11.45pm. I was exhausted.
Today was a hiking day and it was a very hard and adventurous one. I was out all day. Lots of scrambling, some climbing as well, narrow paths sheer drops, beautiful views. I loved it and being close to nature and getting some sweat really helped to get my mojo back after a very challenging day yesterday. Now it is time to put my feet up and relax.
