Day 18/ Thursday- This morning before work I did you tube yoga for belly, buns and thighs . I always enjoy that one. Work wore me out, still not 100% but I’m getting there. After dinner I did tone and flo from WS 3. My son did the warm up portion with me . I’m loving having him at home . I’m off to shower & then bed . We have to leave the house very early for my sons 3 therapy appointments. I’m going to try to fit in feel good fusion flow or dance walk before I leave . We shall see.
Good morning, ladies! Well, after slogging miserably through the day yesterday, I stopped at the store last night and picked up some cold medicine and some otc allergy meds. I strongly suspect that the Great Sinus Migration was precipitated by an especially bad allergy attack, but I got the cold meds to treat the immediate, cold-like symptoms. I took both last night, got a good night’s sleep, and woke up feeling much better this morning. Today’s headache was a mere shadow of yesterday’s, and I could actually breathe through my nose when I woke up! Woo-hoo! So, in celebration, I gave Smitty a longer morning walk than normal before coming home and doing 360 Abs from WS1. Later, I’ll be heading to the animal shelter to walk the pups. Today’s recommended workout was actually supposed to be Total Body Training, but I chose the lower exertion of 360 Abs because I’m still not 100 percent. On a bright note, I chose to wear my fanny pack on my walk this morning so I could carry tissues with me, and found that the waist band was quite loose! It’s been a long time since I’ve worn it, so I wasn’t really thinking about the fit when I put it on, but it was a nice surprise to feel all the slack in the waistband. I decided not to tighten it :).
Yesterday, I filled in for a co-worker for the 8:30 am shift, but I still got in Metabolic Conditioning–a challenging, but satisfying workout. The dog’s walk was cut dramatically shorter than normal because it was pouring rain. I took him out like normal, but he was happy to turn back after walking just up the road a bit. He doesn’t like the rain:). I don’t know if it’s the weather, allergies, a cold, or some sort of combination, but I entered into what I think of as the Great Sinus Migration yesterday. Sore throat, soupy sinuses, headache, tight chest. I woke up feeling like I had a nail in my head this morning, so I chose to just do the Total Body Flow from the Gentle Yoga dvd, which was yesterday’s optional workout. It was a delightful routine, and prepared me for my Chiropractic appt. later today. I hope you are all doing well!
Day 17/ Wendsday- I’m feeling much better today, still a few neurological issues but I’m no more extreme fatuige or headache. This morning I did you tube dynamic stretch . I had a busy 3 house day. I wasn’t moving at my normal fast or efficient pace today but I got my jobs done in a fair amount of time. After dinner I did the recommended cardio party. I really love that one and it always is a party with all those amazing ladies. Beth’s energy always makes me smile. Hoping to do a total body routine from one of the WS programs and a few smaller core routines possibly from you tube. As I do not have the suggested ab routines.
I wanted to share that my son asked me today if he could lead me in my evening workout . Then he proceeded to hold a mock class for about 15 minutes. He made me giggle so hard. Today he was struggling hard with his short term memory it was great to see him so happy and playful .
Day 17 I started that with the suggested Total Abs Transformer from Cardio Abs. This is a tough Cardio Strength routine and my legs certainly felt like jelly during it. I used my heavier weights throughout and I Challenged myself to fatigue with the single armed balancing overhead presses. My left side isn’t as strong yet..Being a masochist I did the also recommended Concentrated Abs from the same download straight afterwards. I think this one is the hardest Abs workout I ever do. There is no time for rest.
Tomorrow is a busy day and there will be no time for exercise and that is good because my body will get some rest. I need it.
