Hi everyone. Thank you for your prayers and concern. It’s day 13 of my sons hospital stay .MY new normal at the moment is two nights at the hospital one night at home . I have been able to get in a few moments with Jessica this week . Monday before leaving for the hospital I did something with fusion and weights but I didn’t write it in my exercise log. I have no clue what it was called now . I worked a bit before going to the hospital. Thursday and did rise and shine yoga . It is such a nice routine.Today before work I did ballet sculpt (I think that’s the name of it )from you tube . Then a full workday . I’m now at the hospital for my two nights stay. My son is making progress slowly. His brain injury will be his biggest challenge. He still is on a feeding tube. Hoping by Monday /Tuesday he will be eating on his own.
hooe to time to check in soon. Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend !
Jackie Mc I think I would enjoy the WS3 as well as was so looking forward to the release to do with you and mholdsworth, however the budget was just a little too tight when she released it even at the wonderful price she gave us. I am going to print the new rotation calendar that includes 1, 2 and 3 and join everyone on the days we have the same workouts, it just isn’t the same not doing the same thing as you lovely ladies 🙂
Just completed WS3!! I feel very good about myself! I will also lost 7.4 lbs!! I cleaned up my diet and focused on whole foods. I will start the rotation that includes all WS programs Monday! Looking forward to it, I missed doing some of those workouts💪🏻💪🏻
Hello everyone. I just wanted your thoughts on something. I went to the Hard Core class this morning and just before the end noticed that one of the participants was filming (himself) the whole class without informing any of the class members. Many didn’t notice. It was a tough Abs circuit and we were all a sweaty. I mentioned to the coach that I didn’t feel happy being videod working out unless I am told before hand and informed what it is for and given the choice not to be in it.
I asked the guy to edit me out but there is no guarantee that he will. He was a bit agrressive actually saying that it is a public gym and he could do what he wanted but it isn’t a public gym . I mentioned it to the Head Coach who said he would raise it with the other team members. Many coming here might see this as an invasion of their privacy, both those who are there to lose weight and get fit as well as the pro athletes who want anonymity when they are training. I just looked so bad today, no make up, my old training stuff and I was working so hard. Jessica, Beth and Debbie always look amazing and that is one of the wonderful things about working out in my living room with these wonderful ladies…. it is private.
So, this morning was stretch and strength, which was really nice after what I considered to be a challenging week of workouts. I was really surprised that I wasn’t sore from yesterday’s Lower Body workout, but then I had to get down on the floor at work to clean the kid’s play area. When I got back up, I felt those thighs! Yesterday was, indeed, Leg Day, as Jessica so mildly stated it. For some reason, I struggled with fatigue for much of the day today. I think I’m about to get a visit from Mother Nature, but it’s hard to know because I also think I’m in the early stages of menopause, so Mother Nature just sort of wanders in and out of my life on a whim. Anyway, I can definitely feel a difference in my “functional strength” when I’m going about my daily chores. As to walking the dogs at the shelter, I was worried that I would become too attached to the dogs before I started, but it’s not really like that at all. I volunteer for 2 hours a week, and usually walk different dogs each time. When I’m there, my focus is usually on getting as many dogs as I can outside (one at a time) to give them a break from their kennels. It’s not uncommon for a dog to be adopted or sent to foster care or taken by a breed-specific rescue group between two of my visits, so it’s hard to get too attached. They are all amazing in their own way, but I have my own dog and my own life to keep running, so I’m not all that tempted. Usually, when I do start to think about taking a particular dog home, it ends up getting adopted before I can consider it too seriously. I would definitely encourage anyone to take a chance on volunteering with their local animal shelter or rescue to see if they like it. 🙂
