Day 33 and a beautiful sunny Friday morning. The temperatures are rising and the forecast is excellent for the Holiday weekend. Started my day with Tone and Flow. It was great and I was pleased with my balance and even managed the full set of pigeon squats without even a wobble. I partnered that with Yoga and Pilates which is now one of my favourites I really like the Yoga Pilates combined and it is so very effective and the aeroplane to crescent lunge I could do without wobbling and my tree pose was firm even with my cat wandering around me for attention. I kept focus. The mantra too is wonderful. I have indeed started my day with a grateful heart.
It is going to a a day of Christmas shopping as I am cooking lunch on Sunday. I have most of what I need but there are one or two things that I should try and get including small gifts for my guests for under the tree. So I had better take a freezer stocktake and make a list.
One thing that made me smile yesterday as I got the early ferry into Central yesterday for my hike. The ferry company had put up a notice about extra ferries for “Silent Night”. Isn’t that a beautiful translation?
I am so lucky to live here. Not only do we get Christmas and Solar New Year we get to celebrate Chinese New Year in February and the Buddha’s birthday in May too.
Cardio Step Jam this morning was a blast! I’m getting to the point where I can follow most of the time without getting too confused. The first time I did this one, I had to walk in place a few times because I was just so lost:) . When I woke up today, I was so sore from upper body strength yesterday that I almost chose to do a stretching routine. I’m glad I went ahead with this one because the movement actually helped my soreness.
Day 32 and there is no early morning workout for me today as I am hiking. It is an early start as I have a long way to go to get to the meet the other hikers and the leader. The plan is to swap out today’s suggested workout and do Pilates and Yoga tonight when I get home. The alternative would be to double up tomorrow morning and do both Tone and Flow and Pilates and Yoga. I hope everyone is well💪💪💪
Day 31 and I did the Metabolic Conditioning workout. I used 10 pounds as my heavier set which was enough for me. I can’t go heavier yet. I did manage the full set of rows from full plank with Beth with the 10 pounds but it was tough 💪. For the lighter set I started with 2.5 kilos but moved up to 3 kilos and that worked really well too. I got an excellent cardio and strength workout. I partnered it with Brain Fitness Fun from WS1. I have always enjoyed that one and like the reminder information about research case studies. I am motivated to start my meditation practice again. I haven’t done much for the last 6 weeks due to a heavy work schedule but there is no time like today to start this again as I find it wonderful.
I shall probably do some yoga/stretching and balancing first as meditation just seems to be easier after balancing. I guess balancing takes focus just like meditation.
I wrote my post twice yesterday and it wouldn’t show up- so here I go again……Day 30 Tuesday I did yoga sculpt from you tube before work. After work and after dinner I did metabolic conditioning. I do love them both.was able to do the plank rows with 15# but they are extremely tough .
Today/ Wendsday day 31-no am routine. My hectic weekend has caught up with me- and boy am I tired! As much as love boggie IT I’m flip flopping today and day33’s Pilates & yoga for today. I just finished my 3 mile lite jog with Lana . It is such a treat for me to spend time with her . She is a well behaved dog .I’m now refreshed and looking forward to day 33 routine after dinner .
