Today I did the Kickboxing Hiit for Beginners and needed a bit more so did 20mins Indoor Jogging. I cut it short as my son wanted driving to a trampoline park with his friends. This afternoon I have done Dynamic Stretch from Walkstrong. At the moment for the stretches I am working through all my DVDs first and will then move onto YouTube Stretches. We’ve had the oak tree in our garden cut back today and it looks so much better, it won’t be long until it’s sprouting lots of new growth. Tomorrow I will take as an active rest day and am hoping for a better week in my new job!
Monday and Day 16 and one of the suggested workouts was Strictly Strength from Walk On Get Strong yet I just did that fantastic workout on Saturday so I subbed that for the 40 minute Stepping Strength from the same download. I have only recently bought it and only done it once so it was great to do it again this morning. I partnered this with the 30 minute Total Body Standing Strength from YouTube. I didn’t do it before because I thought it was just a prenatal routine but with enough weight it can be challenging and enjoyable for everyone. I am happy I did it and I would do it again.
I then went for a short walk with my friend who has just started with Jessica’s walking routines on YouTube. I am so pleased about that. She so wants to lose weight but I can see from today how good her cardio fitness has developed through intervals for beginners and the walking stuff but her strength (as was mine) needs work. I have three resistance bands so I gave M one of mine and forwarded three of my favourite Jessica resistance band routines.
I then had to settle down to work but late afternoon I did the 35 minute Dynamic Stretch Routine from the New Total Stretch Download. I then had a few more hours of work but have now decided to stop for the day and relax and watch some tv.
I am a bit worried about my husband as he has been having a few stomach problems and is off to the doctor tonight for advice. I think it is stress related. Ho hum!
Yesterday got out for a small, easy hike with my husband at a state park we hadn’t been to before, it felt so great to be back out in nature 🙂
Everyone sounds like they are having a good weekend. The amusement park sounds like so much fun, we have Kings Island and Cedar Point. I used to go to Cedar Point every year, the views of Lake Erie we fantastic at the top of the roller coasters 😀
Sounds like we’ve all had a restful weekend😀I’m glad you enjoyed a nice walk with your husband Maureen, isn’t it nice that Spring is finally here? I’m glad you enjoyed Busch Gardens with your daughter M Holdsworth, my boys loved that theme park. Pleased to read your plans for the rest of the year Jackie, they sound so exciting!!
Yesterday was the start of the boys Easter Holiday 🐣and so we went out for breakfast pancakes. The boys had been helping me clear out all their old console games so we also traded these in. This meant no workout until the afternoon when I started Interval Mix, had just finished the first interval when we had a power cut which lasted some time! Can’t believe I hadn’t downloaded any workouts to my phone! So today I felt I should do Interval Mix again, plus the travel cardio and strength routine and the strong feet and ankles. Now time to cook dinner!
Day 15 and Steady State Cardio and Core. I began the day with Jessica’s new 4 Mile Powerwalk as I don’t own the other DVD suggestion and I bought this one recently and wanted to do it again. With the warm up and cool down I got in nearly 9,000 steps and 4.1 miles doing this. Isn’t that amazing? I then had work to do but my husband tempted me out for a short wall up the hill before lunch and before dinner I did the suggested YouTube suggested 30 minute Powerwalk and the 12 minute better posture workout which is sneakier than it looks. I have done that three times now over the rotations for Jumpstart and Fusion etc. and I am definitely getting better at that final move from plank but you couldn’t balance a wineglass on my back yet…
Looking forward to strength tomorrow. Another busy day at my desk but it is brilliant having my husband home for the holidays and ensuring I get out into nature. The weather tomorrow looks worse than it has been today however if there is a break in the rain it will be great to get out for even a short walk.
