Day 21 and a beautiful sunny but very hot Friday morning . I posted a recce hike for later this morning and had a few drop outs but I am still going ahead as I want to stretch my legs and enjoy the fresh air and eat my packed lunch in the open air with beautiful views and a sea breeze after a steep climb.
It is supposed to be a rest day today but I am taking the rest day tomorrow as I have volunteered to do a post typhoon beach clean up with the Hong Kong charity Eco Marine tomorrow morning. It is a beach on South Lantau, the Island where I used to live. We need to clean up some of the remote beaches and get rid of the plastic and styrofoam waste washed up during Mangkut last weekend. We need all the help we can muster to clear as much as we can before it is washed back into the ocean. It really needs an army of volunteers but we shall do what we can with what we have. It will be a great workout for a good cause in wonderful company.
For my early morning routine this morning I did Total Body from WS3 which is the recommended Day 23 workout. That is enough for me today with the hike.

Day 20 and a beautiful sunny Thursday. Today I changed my exercise routine. It is a day I am at home and my early morning workout was a walking routine to give me some steps as a foundation for my day. I did the 30 Minute Steady State Cardio routine that I did earlier this week. I like the routine, it packs in steps and the music is good.
I did my main workout during the late morning. Today’s suggested routine is Tone and Flow from WS3. I really like that routine but today I did two routines from the Barre Fitness download instead. I started with Cardio Ballet and then did the Barre Burn. Both are terrific and the set is beautiful and music great to workout to. They are sneaky. This afternoon I did the optional Poise and Grace.
It has been a very quiet and relaxing day. The weather has been very hot but has started to cool down now and as I haven’t left the house all day I am thinking of going for a short walk and enjoy some sunshine and nature. It will also give a well needed boost for my step count. It is over 12,500 but I would like to get a few more in before dinner.
I have posted a last minute hike for tomorrow. I only have a few sign ups but that is fine. It is a recce of a trail I love to do but I am unsure of the state of the trail post typhoon. We might be climbing over fallen trees etc. The fitness shop phoned to let me know my new weights are ready for collection. That is exciting
Everyone seems to be doing great 😀 I am amazed how both of you get everything done even in adverse conditions 🙂
I am slowly getting my house in order and have gotten my initial yardwork caught up. Looks like I will be doing yardwork tomorrow as the rain from Florence made everything grow.
I have been very tired lately, probably a combination of a lot of family stress, crazy work hours for my husband and very little exercise. Thanks to Jackie, mholdworth, Jessica, Peanut, Debbie and Beth I do still maintain contact and motivation just need to prioritize again 🙂

Wendsday day 17- Befote work I did Tuesday’s routine- WS2 upper body. It was great . I had a very busy 3 house day – typical Wendsday. I came home to pull in my driveway to see my flowering crabapple tree cut to bits. My well meaning father thought he’d prune it for me so I wouldn’t have to . He found some rot then got carried away and left only the top 2 limbs. It looks so sad. I’m hoping in the spring it will get some new growth. Once inside my home I found my son was having a very bad day and was threatening to harm himself. I had planned on doing lower body after dinner . getting my son settled down I sat down and now I’m just exhausted.so no lower body for me . I have done over 20,000 steps . I am going to do flow 3 hips and knees .
Monday & Tuesday/Day 15&16- Monday – I took as my active rest day. With work I still got in over 18,000 steps. Tuesday- This morning I did a 20minute YouTube yoga routine called everything in 20( at least I think that’s what it was called ). I’ve done it before and lives up to its name. Today was May Day off from work. It was spent running errands with my mother Inlaw and son. Once home I felt wiped out so I rested a bit before my daughter got home from school. After dinner I did cardio party. I really needed to get my steps up , as always with that one I had great fun and I even did the shimmy. Sometimes I’m just not that coordinated. I will hoping to do Monday and Tuesdays routines.
