Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is having a good week! Yesterday’s scheduled workout was Metabolic Conditioning. Even though I was sore from Monday’s workout, I decided to try upping my heavy weights to 15#, so I ended up using a combination of 15# and 10# weights as my heavies and 4# for my lights. It was challenging, but I actually think I could have raised my lower weights to 5# and been alright–especially for the bicep curls. During the part where she has us doing squat swings with the heavy weights (the move that’s like using a kettleball), I switched to 10# weights because I could envision myself losing grip on the 15# weight and sending it flying into the TV. That would be bad :). So, this morning, I was even more sore in more places than I was yesterday! I did complete the scheduled workout, though–360 abs–and I even raised my weight level from 4# to 5#. It felt good–never too much to handle. Y’all have a great day!
Day 44 and I began my day with the recommended Cardio Step Jam and Add on Abs. I then hit the trails with Monty for a longish walk so my step count will be strong today. It is such a lovely day today. Typically an English summer day warm, sunny and breezy. I will take him out again this evening before we visit D but in the meantime I am going to relax with my book.
Tomorrow I have booked tickets to see a musical play at the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool. My mum is so looking forward to it and so am I. We will have lunch beforehand. It should be fun.
Day 43 was yesterday and I did the recommended Metabolic Conditioning routine. I used 4Kg (the heaviest set I have here) for the whole routine. I have never used such heavy weights as my “light” set but I managed all reps of all sets although it was challenging. I do need to go heavier for my heavy sets but that was okay yesterday as I was challenged.
I only got 12,000 steps in yesterday but after 4 days of 30,000 and plus it was fine. I had a day of hospital visits to see D and eye and contact lense tests. So it wasn’t very active but I did take Monty out for a lovely evening walk. After a break from wearing contact lenses for 10 years I am going back to wearing them for special occasions and for some exercise. I find yoga really hard in glasses.
Up early and will FaceTime my husband and then do the recommended routines for today💪💪💪
Hi Ladies, I apologize for staying silent for so long. Mainly, I haven’t felt like getting on the computer and “chatting.” Week before last, I restarted the Master Rotation Calendar, and was really proud of myself for doing every workout as listed for the first week. After close of business on that Saturday, the business where I work was officially closed for a one week vacation, so I haven’t been to work since June 30! Now, you would think that I would be supercharged and really make the most of my break, but you would be wrong! Last week, I only worked out twice, and I really didn’t do anything special other than do a lot of extra cross-stitching. So, this week I am resolved to jump back on the horse’s back and refocus, so I’m picking back up with week 2 of the Calendar. Of course, I don’t have the dvd that’s contains today’s workout, so I picked a 53 minute Cardio Fusion workout from YouTube. Apparently, I had a deathwish. I can’t swear that I did every rep or every exercise as directed, but I did finish, and I feel like that’s a win right now. It also may have taken me longer than 53 minutes :(. However, it’s done! And I move forward from today! The good thing about having a dog is that–even when I don’t do my workouts like I should–he gets me on the road at least once a day, and usually twice. Yesterday afternoon, I walked him down to a local, wooded, fitness trail and spotted a pileated woodpecker. I have never seen one there before, so that was exciting. I hope you ladies are having a good new week. Take care! Robin
Thank you Mauree, Jackie and Jessica for the kind Birthday wishes. Thank you all for your support . This site is a blessing to me .
Jackie – Im sad to say I couldn’t make the Triathlon today. As I was preparing to leave my driveway my vehicles engine wouldn’t stay on …. so long story short it’s now at the repair shop. I had to miss my event today . Hoo hum…. I do have anthor chance in August. I have signed up to volunteer at a duathlon.
