Leg day today and I’m enjoying week two of this challenge💪I’ve just finished the 40 min leg workout which I thoroughly enjoyed as I’d not done that one before. Was a bit shocked there were 3 rounds, really wanted to stop after 2!
I pinged that article to my dad Jackie as I thought he’d enjoy it. Like my husband he is a recreational cyclist and he cycles at least 3 times a week for about 2 hours at age 75! I knew he’d enjoy what they wrote about cycling🚵♀️!!
Day 11 – Thursday, Befote work I did 20 minutes of flowing yoga I just made up while listening to some uplifting music. The last week or so I’ve been Waking up at 2:30/3am and being wide awake so I get up for the day . It’s taking its toll . I had a very difficult day today at work because I just couldn’t focus or multi task . This is very unlike me .im well over 18,000 steps so I’m taking today as my active rest day.
Thank you all for thinking of me – you lovely ladies are an amazing group! Oh gosh my work life has seemed so topsy turvy this year, it has caused me no end of confusion and heartache and I’m still working through this whole thing. The commute to my new job is great, but I’m still disorientated by all the changes. It doesn’t feel a perfect fit and this has caused me stress this week again, and then I can’t sleep & eat, and then I have stomach problems and nausea etc. On the outside I look like a calm person so people don’t guess that something very different is going on in the inside unless they know me very well.
I think I’ve mentioned before that I find Jessica helps with my stress and anchors me – whatever confusion is happening around me she is a constant (as are all of you!) and I’m the type of person that needs that. So I did the Cardio Pilates on Monday which I really enjoyed along with Jessica’s new 8min Standing Stretch, then took a rest day on Tuesday, on Wednesday I did the Fusion Band which I loved and really felt and then today 30 min Upper Body Strength (Walk Strong).
I have read every single one of your posts this week and I cannot tell you how your posts just help to lift and calm me. I loved both your photos Jackie Mc but definitely that gorgeous grumpy face has to win 1st prize!! (Also I’m sorry to read your brother has been going through such a tough time). I’m so glad to read your posts M Holdsworth and Maureen, it has been so lovely to read all your news.
Jackie, I think accountability buddies would be great 😀 I am going to try to go with Jessica’s mantra of something is better than nothing even if it is just one of the quick 10 minute routines then maybe I won’t get so overwhelmed with all I need/want to do 🙂
The sun is finally starting to peek out and I believe my lunch has settled so I am going to go out and do some yardwork….but not overdo because I think a stretch would be very beneficial later and if I do too much I won’t stretch 😀
Jacy I hope you are feeling better and just trying to keep up with life and your new job 🙂
mholdsworth always like the knee workouts and don’t know why I don’t do them more as they are quite helpful 🙂
Everyone do something fun/relaxing today even if it’s only 10 minutes 🙂
Day 11 I started my day with Cardio Interval Sculpt from WS3. I like that two for one “special” of strength training with cardio intervals. It isn’t easy but I felt much better afterwards. I partnered that with the 30 minute HiiT Cardio and Core from day 10 as I was hiking (again) yesterday and didn’t get to do it.
I am working from home today so during my lunch break I just did the second recommended Day 11 routine which is the 30 minute travel friendly cardio strength circuit. I do like that routine and I will try and remember it for when I am travelling. It was so good to exercise with weights AND my resistance band today.
I read this article this morning:
Can exercise reverse the ageing process? It is interesting so I thought I would share it.
Jacy I am missing your posts. Are you okay? You have been my accountability buddy during Jumpstart and Fusion and I miss waking up to your posts. Do get in touch and let us know how you are. I realise with starting a new job your routine and life will be out of sync. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.
